GENEALOGY WORKSHOP: Finding Your Roots

and the Hawai‘i Japanese Center

JCCH and Hawai‘i Japanese Center Members receive a $5 discount on registration fee!
A family tree can wither if no one tends to its roots. Learn how to tend to your family tree at this Hilo workshop led by the Hawai‘i Hiroshima Heritage Study Group (H3SG). Attendees will participate in a three-segment workshop that covers varying subjects from basic information needed to begin their family’s genealogy research to an introduction of computer software for genealogy research online to limited Japanese translations of family documents such as koseki to¯hon (family registry).
A 151-page workshop manual will be provided to workshop participants. Cost is $30 for Hawai‘i Japanese Center and JCCH members; $35 for non-members. To register for the workshop, call the JCCH at (808) 945-7633, ext. 33 or email info@jcch.com.
