Friday, June 23; 5:30–7:30 p.m. Yoga Psychology and Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras Integrating the definitive text for yogis and the practical aspects of Hatha Yoga, we will explore the means of accessing our hidden creative potential and awakening “Prajna,” wisdom through experience. This will be discussion only; no need to dress for yoga. Saturday, June 24; 8:00–9:45 a.m. Bandhas: Unlocking the Mystery The Yoga Sutras are divided into four “padas,” or feet, and refer to the imperative aspect of being firmly grounded in one’s practice. We will explore the stability and confidence cultivated in standing and balancing postures as a means of expansion, joy and liberation. Sunday, June 25; 9:00–11:00 a.m. “Sthiram Sukham Asanam”: Synthesizing Strength and Grace Backbends and inversions are an invitation for practitioners to investigate the edges of the unknown. We will methodically explore the actions of these postures as a means of mapping out a safe and direct route to their mastery and success.
