This two-hour workshop will start with a brief centering and give an overview of the eight limbs of yoga set forth originally in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra as the way to avoid the pitfalls of the human condition. Johanna Maheshvari Mosca, PhD, will discuss key sutras (threads of wisdom) about the causes and prevention of suffering. This interactive session will focus on ways to apply ten yoga principles to enhance everyday life. Together we will explore the meaning and benefits of each code of conduct. You will be guided to examine where you are already living these principles and where you could live them more fully. The class will end with a guided relaxation and affirmations focused on one of the ten principles.
