The McCullyöMoiliili Public Library is scheduled to host Internet Child Safety, a free presentation which will conclude their 2007 Childrenâs Summer Reading Program, on Saturday, July 14 at 10:30 a.m. in the Auditorium. Robert Jahier, Computer Forensic Examiner and Education Specialist for the state Dept. of the Attorney General, will conduct this presentation for parents and children who currently use or plan to use popular social networking websites such as Myspace.com or kidsmyspace.com. Jahier, who is a member of the Hawaii Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, will share information about internet crimes against children. In addition, Jahier will offer tips on how parents can take protective measures to safeguard their child as they navigate through cyberspace. This 45öminute program is recommended for parents and children ages 8 and up. Call the library as soon as possible if a sign language interpreter or other special accommodation is needed.
