 Manibusan will also present a workshop on “The Multi Cultural Church” on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Mystical Rose Oratory, on the shared campus of Chaminade University and Saint Louis School.Ê
Well-recognized throughout the country as a dynamic, electric speaker and musician, Manibusan is a singer, songwriter, guitarist and teller of humorous tales. He is a familiar presence at diocesan conferences throughout the U.S. and Canada, including the Los Angeles Religious Education Congress, the National Catholic Youth conference (NCYC), World Youth Day events, LIFE TEEN events and others. He also conducts parish missions and retreats and co-presents retreats and youth liturgy workshops with Ken Canedo. He holds a master’s degree in multicultural ministries from the Franciscan School of Theology in Berkeley, California.
Both the concert and the workshop are open to the public. The concert is free. The workshop, which includes refreshments and a light lunch, costs $15 in advance and $20 at the door. For additional information, contact Bro. Dennis Schmitz, SM, at (808)735-4801 or (808) 232-6691.
