PEACEMAKER WORKSHOP AT CHAMINADE
A two-day leadership workshop on "What it takes to be a Peacemaker and a Leader" will be held on Friday, March 14, from 8: 30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, March 15, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., in the Ching Conference Center at Chaminade University, 3140 Wai'alae Avenue, Honolulu, Hawai'i 96816.
Presented by Chaminade University's David W. Chappell Peace Program and the Rotary Club of Honolulu's Peacemaker Committee, the workshop will include on day-one, skill sessions with Dee Dee Letts, Tracey Wiltgen and Michael Bass and on day-two, video viewing of Nobel Peace Prize Winner Mairead Corrigan-Maguire on "Choosing Nonkilling" with reflection from Glenn Paige and a peace leader panel discussion on "Negotiation, Forgiveness and Reconciliation" with Cristina Kemmer, Roger Epstein, Poka Laenui and Mollie Sperry.
Conference costs are $60 (or $30 per day) at the door. For advance registration, costs are general admission $50 ($25 a day), students and military $ 20 ($10 per day) and seniors (65 or older) $40 ($20 per day).
