The complete roster of 'Aumakua artists performing includes: Kalae Miles, Stephen Inglis, Shawn Livingston Moseley, S and S, Millicent Cummings, Evasive Species and special guest Cindy Combs. Slam Poet Kealoha will be the host for the evening. Their diverse musical styles, rich in local culture and sentiment, range from traditional Hawaiian Slack Key to Alternative, Neo Classical to Hip Hop.

'Aumakua Fest will also feature two short films with live accompaniment by Shawn Livingston Moseley and S and S. The 10 minute film, The Signs of Life by Hawai`i production company Throw down the Keys focuses on the daily challenges of boredom and how street signs inspire excitement and change. Film two by internationally- acclaimed, award-winning Hawai`i director & cinematographer Ziggy Livnet of For the Sea Productions is a collage of hypnotic undersea images of Hawaii's spectacular reefs, and encounters of unimaginable beauty with their resident sea creatures. Livnet was the official videographer the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) during a recent trip to the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands Papah`naumoku`kea Marine National Monument.

The festival will also be offering a large 8'x 18' 3 panel mural of early Hawaiians at sea, by Bryce Nimitz-Myers, sculpture by Paul Nash, pottery by John Driscoll, and floral masterpieces by Jason Silverstein.

BACKGROUND
In late 2007, 'Aumakua Records presented The Storm before the Calm, the music of Shawn Livingston Moseley as an initial fundraiser for the label. With one album now in release and 4 slated, 'Aumakua is fulfilling the dream of a positive change in the music industry in Hawai'i. With the newly formed AMP, all proceeds from the 'Aumakua Fest go directly to promoting our current artists and nurturing, developing and recording new Hawai`i artists in all genre at no cost to them. The support of the 'Aumakua Music Project to 'Aumakua artists means the recoupable costs usually tagged to an artist in a major label deal, like production and recording, do not exist. This gives the artist full ownership of their music and recorded masters. The 'Aumakua Music Project is a division of the non-profit organization, The Forward Foundation.
