In celebration of Children's Book Week 2008 (May 12-18), McCully-Moiliili Public Library is scheduled to host "Storytime with Deborah Barsel" on Saturday, May 3rd at 10:30 a.m. in the Story well. Admission is free. Barsel is a former actress in community theaters on the mainland for more than 15 years. She specializes in character roles, and has performed before many audiences. This program will include adaptations of "Ferdinand the Bull" by Munro Leaf and "The Fisherman and His Wife" by The Brothers Grimm. There will be many opportunities for audience participation during this special storytime. Sponsored by the Friends of the McCully-Moiliili Public Library, this 45-minute program is recommended for children of all ages. Call the library as soon as possible if a sign language interpreter or other special accommodation is needed. McCully-Moiliili Public Library is located at 2211 S. King Street.
