In celebration of the 2008 HSPLS Summer Reading Programs, the U. S. Army Strings Quartet, a premier ensemble of the U. S. Armed Forces, is scheduled to perform in concert at two Oahu public libraries; admission is free:
Kaimuki Public Library ö Tuesday, June 17 at 5 p.m., Adult Section
The U. S. Army Strings Quartet, which is part of the United States Army Band in Washington, D.C., provides a musical backdrop for significant official functions as well as public performances. They perform regularly in some of the United Statesā premier venues for the President, members of Congress and visiting dignitaries. The U. S. Army Strolling Strings is one of the most requested musical ensembles by our nationās military leadership.
This one-hour concert is suitable for all ages. Call the hosting library two weeks in advance if a sign language interpreter or other special accommodation is needed. Program schedules are subject to
change.
