"A Taste of Kaimuki High School" is looking for donations of food and/or funds to help make this first time annual event a success.
The Kaimuki Community has families with students that are from many different cultures. To help these students in uilding self respect and pride in community and school, we will hold a family oriented "Taste of Kaimuki High School" event on Dec 9, 2008 (tuesday nite) @ 5:30pm in the cafeteria.
This event is partly sponsored by KHS-PTA but we will need community support to help make this event successful.
The event is not open to the public (insurance purposes) but is open to KHS families, teachers and staff (we may expect up to 1,300).
Students are currently doing posters and learning about their heritage through their Social Studies classes.
Bringing the family, community into this event will help to build the bridge between school, home and community (it takes a village).
