The Movement Center opens new classes March 30, 2009. The Movement Center’s goal is to create good people through excellent education in the performing arts and to provide performing arts experience to individuals who might otherwise not have access. Scholarships are available for financially needy students, and students with special needs are welcomed.
TMC has dance, vocal and acting classes for all ages from toddlers through adults. Two of TMC’s more popular classes are its Little Angels, a combination of tap, creative movement and tumbling for 3-5 year olds, and its Song & Dance class for 4-6 year olds. Also popular are ballet and jazz for adults, and street dance or hip hop for teens. TMC also has a top rate program for the serious ballet student
Classes are held at the TMC campus in the Franklin Variety Building in Kaimuki.
