SEPT. 18-19 SET FOR PRESIDENTIAL INAUGURATION FESTIVITIES OF CHAMINADE'S
BRO. BERNARD PLOEGER, SM, Ph.D.

HONOLULU - August 3, 2009÷Chaminade University will celebrate the inauguration of its ninth president, Bro. Bernard Ploeger, S.M., Ph.D., (name pronounced: Bern'-erd Play-gur) with several free events open to the public.

On Friday, September 18, starting at 7 p.m., the university will offer a concert, held in Dr. Richard T. Mamiya Theatre, located on campus at 3140 Waialae Avenue, Honolulu, Hawaii 96816. Led by Chaminade's Associate Professor of Music Dr. Timothy Carney, Hawai'i Vocal Arts Ensemble will perform.

On Saturday, September 19, starting at 2 p.m., a special Mass will be held in St. Patrick Church, 1124 7th Avenue off of Waialae Avenue, Honolulu, Hawaii 96816.

Also on Saturday, September 19, starting at 4 p.m., the university will hold an investiture ceremony in Dr. Richard T. Mamiya Theatre with a reception in the adjacent Keoho Plaza to follow.
