Hawaii Red Cross Marks National Red Cross Month by Thanking Supporters and Volunteers

During Red Cross Month, we want to recognize the valuable supporters whose generosity makes the work of the American Red Cross possible. The Hawaii Red Cross has a number of activities planned for Red Cross Month in March

CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (those with a duty to respond), learn the skills needed to respond appropriately to respiratory and cardiac emergencies and get trained how to operate an AED in case of a sudden cardiac emergency; American Red Cross certification upon completion; 8:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m.; March 6, 15, 28; classes are based on availability and subject to change. Pet First Aid for Dogs and Cats.  Learn basic information on how to recognize and care for emergencies and injuries in dogs and cats.  This course will empower pet owners with the confidence and skills necessary to respond to emergencies involving dogs and cats by learning how to provide basic first aid skills, how to care for choking pets, rescue breathing and CPR.  March 6, 8:30am – 12:30pm; American Red Cross, 4155 Diamond Head Road; $60; registration: 739-8132, 739-8142 or 739-8123.
