Latif Bolat, a Turkish Mystic Sufi musician, will present "Turkish Music, Poetry and Images," a free program on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 3 p.m. in the Young Adult Section.

Bolat is a Turkish singer, composer and scholar of Turkish folklore. He will perform music, poetry, Sufi mystic stories and share images from the ancient land of Turkey.

The one-hour program is suitable for ages 12 and older, and will include a question-and-answer session. Bolat's book and CDs will be available for purchase from the Friends of the Library of Hawaii after the program. Cash and checks only will be accepted.

Contact the library two weeks in advance if a sign language interpreter or other special accommodation is needed. The program is subject to change.

Kaimuki Public Library is located at 1041 Koko Head Avenue. For more information, please call the Library at 733-8422 during normal hours of operation.
