Every Sunday Brunch at Hoku’s is extra special, but Father’s Day is a total blow-out. Chef Thomas Ho really goes the extra mile to make this brunch spectacular. Of course the fabulous ocean views are just the window dressing—the real deal is the extraordinary array of good foods and attentive service that helped Hoku’s achieve the highest honors for Ilima Award’s Best Fine Dining restaurant this year. Start your culinary adventure at the chilled seafood bar where you’ll find on ice a fine array of King Neptune’s best—chilled lobster, oysters, shrimp, and snow crab claws---as many as you’d like. Our sushi chefs, trained by the best, make unlimited quantities of fresh sushi and sashimi, including ahi, ebi, unagi, salmon, hamachi, California roll, and spicy ahi. It’s all good! Over at the greens station, you can dress your plate with pineapple chilled asparagus, vine ripe tomatoes, or watercress and tofu salad. Add a chunk of your favorite domestic or imported cheese and some fresh bread. Now your appetite is primed for butter-poached King crab legs, shrimp and vegetable tempura, miso butterfish, French toast sticks with fresh berries, and herb roasted chicken. Don’t miss the roast prime rib and New Zealand rack of lamb—tender, juicy and carved to your liking. Of course the chef will be making his daily special and the popular ahi poke musubi for delivery right to your table. All that and eggs and omelets made to order, too. Rest and enjoy the stunning ocean view before you tackle the dessert station. There you’ll find delicious and sweet temptations such as the chocolate fountain with dippers, assorted pastries, chocolate covered macadamia nuts, and cookies. Top it off with hot Kona coffee or a cup of tea and watch Dad smile! It’s nice to be loved The Kahala way.
