The OCEAN Health Festival is a week of free events that is being presented by Super Bowl champion Michael Bennett, Hawaii Optimum Performance and Saint Louis School to teach Hawaii's families how to prevent childhood obesity.

Aloha,

Obesity is one of America's biggest challenges, especially when it comes to lower income neighborhoods. I was raised in a lower income area and I understand the struggles and hardship to sustain a quality life. OCEAN Health is a consortium of organizations that are dedicated to help improve our communities through education and providing resources for sustaining healthy lifestyles. Join me in one of the biggest fights of our lives, the fight to eliminate childhood obesity.

In response to this growing epidemic, the OCEAN Health group will be conducting a Health Festival from June 17-22, 2014 on Oˊahu. The objective of this free event is to provide families an opportunity to obtain valuable information on how to make better choices that will lead to positive health changes and a healthier lifestyle for Hawaii's keiki. With a goal of reaching over 500 families, the five day interactive event will include cooking demonstrations with Chef Sam Choy, a Family Health Day at Saint Louis School, and a Youth Football Camp featuring NFL athletes Martellus Bennett, Marshawn Lynch, Richard Sherman, Cliff Avril, Red Bryant and Michael Koenen.

With the help of Hawaii Optimum Performance, Saint Louis School, and the many local organizations that are partnering together, our goal is to make this Health Festival an annual event. There will be no registration fee or cost to the participants during this five day event, therefore, I am seeking financial sponsors to help meet the expenses that we will incur. 100% of your donation will directly benefit the participants by supplying educational and health materials, and food and supplies. We are grateful for any assistance that you or your organization can provide. All sponsors will be recognized throughout the five day event and all donations are tax deductible.
