Honolulu Brass Quintet Performs at Kaimuki Library on Sept. 21
Chamber Music Hawaii's Honolulu Brass Quintet, the premiere brass quintet in Hawaii, will perform in concert at Kaimuki Public Library on Sunday, September 21 at 2 p.m. The free performance will be conducted in the Adult Reading Section.
The Honolulu Brass Quintet will perform a wide selection of music including the "Star Wars Medley" by John Williams. "We try to perform a diversity of selections to appeal to listeners of all ages - so there'll be something for everyone to enjoy," said Ken Hafner, the quintet's leader and one of two trumpet players. "We will introduce each work as we proceed and invite questions from members of the audience."
Other members of the Honolulu Brass Quintet include: Patrick Covington on trumpet, Maura McCune on French horn, Jason Byerlotzer on trombone, and Jared Lantzy on bass trombone.
Chamber Music Hawaii and the Friends of Kaimuki Library are co- sponsoring this performance which is suitable for all ages. Young children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
Contact the Library as soon as possible if a sign language interpreter or other special accommodation is needed.

Library Cards
You may apply for a library card at any Hawaii public library. The initial card is FREE for Hawaii residents. Cards are also free for military personnel and their dependents with a copy of orders. The resident card replacement fee is $5.00. Resident library cards must be renewed every five years. There is no charge for the renewal.
