Join Daughters of Hawaiʻi for its annual "Christmas at Queen Emma Summer Palace" on Saturday, December 12th and Saturday, December 19th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Be part of the tradition at Queen Emma Summer Palace as you listen to the sounds of Christmas carols sung in English and ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi by Daughters of Hawaiʻi's Emmalani Serenaders, the youth and adult choirs from Way of Salvation Church, "Nā Kāne" from Kāneʻohe Congregational Church and others. Caroling will begin at 6:15 p.m. and will continue throughout the evening.

View Queen Emma's home, originally Hānaiakamalama, and the holiday inspired decorations and learn about how Christmas came to Hawaiʻi from the museum docents. It was King Kamehameha IV, confirmed to the Anglican Church, who felt that the church's holy festival should be officially observed thus proclaiming Christmas a national holiday in the Hawaiian Kingdom in 1862.

Stop by the Queen Emma Summer Palace Museum Store and shop for unique holiday gifts all crafted in Hawaiʻi. Enjoy the hospitality of Daughters of Hawaiʻi in Emmalani Hale and have some yummy Christmas goodies. A wonderful holiday event for the entire family!

Admission is $5.00 per person (13 yrs. and up) and will kōkua Daughters of Hawaiʻi and its preservation efforts for Queen Emma Summer Palace and Huliheʻe Palace. Keiki 12 yrs. and under and members are free. Free limited parking located on palace grounds. Street parking is also available on Pali Hwy. Queen Emma Summer Palace is located at 2913 Pali Hwy.
