Background Exterminators, Inc. began business in October 1, 1972. It was a modest beginning with three employees and two trucks. The principals of the company performed much of the work, which covered the full spectrum of pest control services - termites, ants, fleas, rodents, birds, cockroaches and many other pests. The company was successful and has grown to Hawaii's largest locally owned termite and pest control company. We believe the reason for this success is our dedication, integrity and commitment to providing superior service - doing the very best we know how.
In 1981, Exterminators, Inc. purchased the long established Diversey Pest Control Company, founded in 1941. Shortly after this acquisition, the two companies were merged to become Diversified Exterminators.
In 1994 Diversified Exterminators was selected for Dow AgroScience to cooperate in a field research program in Honolulu, prior to launching the commercial use of Sentricon. Subsequent to the successful field research, Diversified Exterminators was one of the first companies to be authorized by Dow AgroScience to use the Sentricon System commercially. Therefore, Diversified Exterminators is one the of the most experienced as well as the largest locally owned supplier of Sentricon Systems in the state of Hawaii.
In 1993, Green Magic, Inc. purchased the assets of Diversified Exterminators, Inc. and Exterminators, Inc. The company is registered in the State of Hawaii as Green Magic, Inc. dba Diversified Exterminators The rendering of Quality Service to our Customers by Diversified Exterminators is an ongoing commitment.
As Hawaii's oldest and largest locally-owned Pest Control Company, we "cover" all the major islands including Molokai. In 1994, we fumigated and ground treated all the structures on Kalaupapa where the Leper Colony is located.
On Oahu our work force of 50 plus and our fleet of 35 plus vehicles help us provide that 'stitch in time that saves nine' and provides our many customers with the timely service they have come to expect.
The company takes pride in keeping abreast of the latest scientific developments in the Pest Control Field. We utilize the services of a qualified Entomologist & Pest Management consultant to provide technical support in all phases of termite and pest control. And, we have a full-time employee with a backround in Mechanical Engineering which enables him to design and develop special equipment for difficult jobs and for daily operations as well.
In line with it's policy of tight operations controls and using the most effective business methods and procedures possible. Diversified Exterminators' current Manager holds a Masters of Business Management Degree.
Pest Control Buying a new home may be the biggest investment youČll ever make. Protecting your home from unwanted pests is the first step in protecting that investment. Pest management has become a major industry in helping preserve the value of your home and health of your family.
Many pests can damage your home, while others carry and spread diseases.
The first step to effective pest management is defining the factors which limit the reproduction and survival potential of each pest. For instance, Removing the food, water and shelter of pests have a very significant impact on controlling pest populations by itself. Coupled with appropriate chemical control measures, a longer lasting, more significant impact is made.
That's where the knowledge, training, and years of experience help identify and administer the appropriate actions to maximize pest control.
Termite Control No business is safe from termites!
The biggest problem with termites is that you usually don't see them or the damage they cause until it's too late. In fact, the annual cost of termite damage to buildings in the United States is greater than that of fires, storms and floods combined.
Termites are extremely well organized and they can find a way inside any structure, regardless of its construction. That's why we offer advanced treatment methods for termite control and elimination.
Whatever home you own or operate, let us be your line of defense against termite invasions. We can even help protect condominiums and multi-family units.
Carpenter Bees, Wasps, Hornets While most stinging and biting pests don't present a significant risk to many people, their attacks can be very painful. In addition, a number of bug bites and stings can be dangerous to babies and young children, the elderly and people with allergic reactions to insect venom.
To help keep stinging and biting pests away from your family and home, schedule an appointment for pest control services.
Carpenter Ants The first step in carpenter ant control is a thorough inspection in and around the structure. You'll want us to inspect all areas that are conducive to carpenter ants from the ground level to the roof peak. Carpenter ants are most active at night. Sometimes an evening inspection is necessary to locate a difficult carpenter ant problem. The key to eliminating carpenter ants is locating the colony. This is often difficult as the carpenter ants usually locate their nest inside wall or ceiling voids where it is hard to get at.
Also where carpenter ants trail into a building is not always where the main colony is located. Carpenter ants sometimes form satellite colonies where they enter and exit a structure. Satellite colonies are in between the main colony and food locations or swarming locations. The ants may enter at a location and then climb through walls and rafters to where the nest is really located. After the nest or entrance ways have been determined the wall or ceiling void may be drilled and treated to eliminate the entire colony.
Animal Control Why Control Pest Birds?
Birds are wonderful creatures. But they sometimes become serious pests. Pigeons and other pest birds deface buildings with their droppings, causing millions of dollars in damage. They and other pest birds contaminate food in warehouses and food plants. Bird nests and droppings can damage equipment, signs, street lights, electrical utilities, and can cause hazardous working conditions. In large flocks, birds can be noisy, dirty and even dangerous. Some carry diseases and parasites that can affect people such as Salmonella, Histoplasmisis and Meningitis.
To make an area unattractive to unwanted animals you can do a number of things. Remove places to hide. Get rid of trash. Remove brush and leaf piles. Place stacked material twelve or more inches above the ground or floor and away from walls. Space beneath structures and stacks must be kept clean. Keep shrubbery and other plantings away from foundations and walls. Keep shrubbery clean and free of debris. Keep lawns mowed. Fill unwanted depressions. Keep stream and pond banks clean and clipped. Even if all this is done, the occasional pest may still be found.
Rodents Rodents cost billions of dollars in damages every year, and some rodents are carriers of human disease. The house mouse and Norway rat are two of the most destructive pests in the United States.
Rodents eat a wide range of foods and do considerable gnawing on property in order to wear down their continuously growing incisors.
Because the reproductive potential of a single pair of rats or mice is staggering, our control of rodent infestation relies on both reducing the rodent population with bait technology, as well as using rodenticides when possible.
Our technicians can also offer tips on rodent-proofing your home or business in a manner that will effectively solve the problem.
How do I know if I need extermination? The answer to this question is pretty simple. If you see just a few ants or just one mouse, those few ants or one mouse have a whole bunch of buddies lurking where you can't see them. If you have even a slightly visible problem then you have a problem. Left untreated, you could have a crisis.
What are your "environmentally sound alternatives?" We use state-of-the-art low toxicity chemicals that are much less harmful to people, pets, and their environments than what is currently offered by the majority of the pest control market.
Do you guarantee your work? We stand behind all of our work. Should any problems arise within a reasonable amount of time after the completion of the job, we will return for no extra charge, completely hassle-free.
