Queen Lydia Lili'uokalani Elementary School New Principal and Staff Members Announced
New School Year - New Staff MembersOur school enrollment has reached 151 students this newschool year. Seems like the word got out about our reputation of being a"small school with big education" that meets AYP every year. We arealso happy to announce talented new staff members on board.  Mr. Kevin Yuen, our new permanent principal-- fresh from being the Vice Principal from McKinley Community School forAdults. He is dedicated and driven to make our school one of the best in theKalani Complex. NEW STAFF MEMBERS- Mr. Wayne Matsukawa, ourHealth Aide, has become an official DOE employee after years of serving usthrough the Department of Health.
- Mrs. DeanneYoshioka has returned to our school as our Curriculum Coordinator again ayear after her position was eliminated due to lack of funds.
- Mrs. Valerie Kuraya, 5th gradeteacher -- formerly taught 6th grade at WilsonElementary.
- Mrs. Laura Cornwell,2nd grade teacher -- transferred from Kahala Elementary teachingthe 1st grade
- Ms. Suzanne Egan,SPED Pre K -- specializing in early childhood education most recently fromKoko Head Elementary
- Ms. Denise Webb, SPEDResource Teacher -- from years with Kaiulani Elementary as their SPED GradeLevel Coordinator
- Mr. Tom Krieger, SPEDResource Teacher -- an Art and SPED teacher from Dole MiddleSchool
- Mr. Christopher Kelley, SPED E.A.-- a newly wed fresh from Tulsa,Oklahoma
- Mr. Bob Swallow, E.A. -- wasin the PSAP program at Hahaione and by night, a real estatesalesperson
- Ms. Linda Kohatsu, E.A. --from Manoa Elementary, studying for her Masters degree in teaching.
