Foundation Vice President and Executive Director Terrence George praised the work of Chaminade University, noting that, "We are proud to partner with Chaminade in this endeavor. The capital improvements will benefit the community through the work of highly trained professionals graduating from Chaminade in pre-medical science, forensic sciences, environmental science, biology and mathematics." Chaminade's Dean of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Dr. Helen Turner, pointed to how the new facilities address the critical need for science education in Hawaii and nationwide.
