Kaimuki High School Class of '69's Generous Donation to School's Foundation

The Class of '69 from Kaimuki High School had a great time at its week long 40th Class Reunion this past October 2009. But as a group, the Class of '69 wanted their reunion and good times to also mean just a little bit more, and chose to make a difference in the lives of the current students at their alma mater, Kaimuki High School.

Knowing that the Kaimuki High School Foundation has been working hard for many years in raising funds and giving those funds right back to the School, the classmates of the Class of '69 reached deep into their wallets and will make a generous class donation of $4,000, which will be the single largest donation received by the Foundation. In this tough economy, the Class of '69's generous donation will give the Kaimuki High School Foundation a big kick start in its fundraising efforts for the 2010-2011 School year. "We would like to challenge other classes to make similar gifts to the Kaimuki High School Foundation," said Richard Ma and Andrew Nomura, co-chairpersons of the 40th Class reunion activities.

The gift will be presented at the Foundation's Annual Fundraiser Dinner scheduled for Saturday, March 20, 2010 from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Kaimuki High School Cafeteria and Auditorium (suggested donation $25.00 or more). It will be a time to enjoy great food (prime rib and chicken), great entertainment (Legacy and Na Hoku Hanohano award nominee 'Ike Pono), great silent auction items, and catch up with classmates and friends.
