SECOH RECEIVES $225,000 GRANT TO FUND ADULT DAY CARE TUITION ASSISTANCE
Hawaii Community Foundation Makes Award to SECOH

HONOLULU, O`AHU -- The Hawaii Community Foundation (HCF) awarded SECOH a $225,000 "Persons-in-Need" Grant from the May Templeton Hopper Fund to provide tuition assistance for adult day care at SECOH. This is the third year of a three year grant period in which the funds are being distributed.

Persons ages 65 and over who would benefit from adult day care and demonstrate financial need are eligible to apply for tuition assistance. SECOH has openings for adults needing day care Monday-Saturday at both its Founder's Center located in Kahala/Kaimuki and its Central Oahu Community Center in Wahiawa. People interested in applying for adult day care service and/or tuition assistance, may call 734-0233 or 739-2745.

SECOH provides personalized services to people with disabilities of all ages in the spirit of enriching lives. Its wide range of innovative and dynamic services are designed to sustain people with disabilities in home settings rather than long-term care facilities. SECOH operates six community centers in Kahala, Kalihi, Pearl City, Waipahu, Ewa Beach and Wahiawa. Their
services include Day Services, Respite, Personal Assistance/Habilitation, Residential Habilitation and Skilled Nursing.
