Mei-Lin Maunakea will conduct a one-hour informational talk about the functions of the lung organ in Chinese medicine and discuss how to protect it with nutrition and acupressure points to promote healthy lungs. This program is ideal for those who suffer from asthma, allergies, breathing difficulties, eczema, or depression. In Chinese medicine, each internal organ is related to a particular season and by taking care of the organ during that season, you can help to maintain and better your health. The Autumn season is related to the lung. Mei-Lin Maunakea, is a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, and practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Neuroscience from Oberlin College and received her Master's Degree from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Library Cards
You may apply for a library card at any Hawaii public library. The initial card is FREE for Hawaii residents. Cards are also free for military personnel and their dependents with a copy of orders. The resident card replacement fee is $5.00. Resident library cards must be renewed every five years. There is no charge for the renewal.
