Art Explorium Pop-up This Saturday!
Art Explorium will be doing a pop-up this Saturday at a really fun event called A Pinch of Salt for the Holidays. This holiday season, do something different. Experience unique pop-up shops, top local designers, DIY holiday workshops, food, family friendly activities, music by DJ Jimmy Taco and gifts you can't find at the mall. It's all happening around the "Pinch of Salt" Warehouse in Kakaako.
Art Explorium will be at the ZenWorx, 685 Auahi Street, from 11am - 3pm on Saturday, November 23. Here's the plan:
11:00am-12:00pm,
12:30-1:30pm, &
2:00-3:00pm
Create beautiful decoupage holiday gifts & gift boxes out of used magazines, boxes and jars! Kids LOVE decoupage! Also bring in an old t-shirt and learn how to make a no-sew t-shirt apron or t-shirt bag.
12:00-12:30 pm
Join us for a creative movement and dance workshop!
1:30-1:50 pm
Stop by for some of our favorite art stories and be inspired to make art of your own!
$5 suggested donation per person. We hope to see you there!
Got Boxes?
We are looking for donations of small boxes from gift box size up to shoe box size for our Pinch of Salt art activities this Saturday. If you have any it would be great if you could bring them by Open Studio this week (weekdays 2-5pm & this Thursday morning 9-12). Mahalo!
Thanksgiving Week Hours:
Here are some special announcements about the week of Thanksgiving:
• Tuesday, November 26: In celebration of opening our doors a year ago on November 26, 2012, we are offering FREE Open Studio from 2-5 pm to thank you for your support!
• We will be closed for Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 28.
• On Friday, November 29, we will offer extra Open Studio hours from 9am - 12pm in addition to our regular 2-5 pm Open Studio hours.

Art Explorium is a non-profit organization in Kaimuki that provides art opportunities for youth. Stop by and try out our art stations (request a $5 per person coupon>>>).
Open Studio Hours
Monday and Thursday from 9-12 am
Monday through Friday from 2-5 pm
Saturday from 1-4 pm

Art Explorium provides a fun, safe place where children of all ages have the opportunity and the permission to create freely. We firmly believe that art experiences are an important part of every person's growth and development. So... WE provide the space and materials, YOU provide the ideas and make them happen!
Art Explorium strives to be an eco-friendly organization. Many of the art materials in our studio are items that would normally be thrown in the landfill (old pieces of fabric, used bottle caps, small boxes, magazines, ribbon, etc.). We collect these used materials from our friends and local businesses, and Art Explorium visitors give these items a new life as art.
We offer art classes, birthday parties, and field trips to our studio. We also offer Open Studio time - come on in with your family and dabble in one or all of our art stations which offer activities like painting, sculpting, drawing, making mosaics and more. See you there!

Come on by! During Open Studio time you are free to drop in, use our space and materials and explore the process of creating.
We also offer art classes, birthday parties and field trips to our studio!
