THE HAUNTED GARDEN celebrates the coming of Halloween with two spooky nights of bizarre stories appropriate for families with a twisted sense of fun. You are warned- the later, the wierder! 10/27 JEFF GERE (host/teller, born on Halloween, with 2 CDs of Haunted Hawaii's true supernatural tales. JAMES McCARTHY (guitar) with LESLIE KLINE (violin) put eerie tales and tunes together. They play often in the Doolin'Rakes punk irish band... and will likely do a few with Jeff Gere's shadow puppets! LOPAKA KAPANUI (2 spooky books, Haunted Oahu Ghost Bus Tours) ends the evening. SAT 10/28 JEFF GERE hosts/tells again with new tales. VICKY DWORKIN is a children's librarian with an odd sense of tale. YONA CHOCK is a magician/storyteller. DAN KELIN directs education for the Honolulu Theater for Youth, and collected strange folktales from the Marshall Islands (his book).
