Susanne Aikman (Eastern Cherokee) Master Beadworker

Susanne Aikman is a certified Colorado Master of TraditionalBeadwork. This certification comes from the State Folkloristwho certifies that one has learned the art of craft in a traditionalway and can teach traditional ways.

Ms. Aikman's EasternCherokee heritage keeps her close to traditional and spiritualvalues. Her education and goals bring contemporary conceptsto her work which includes not only beadwork, but alsophotography, videography, drawing, painting, graphics, sculptureand writing. Her work is represented in private collectionsacross the United States. Ms. Aikman also produces alterNative Voices, an internet radio show broadcast on AIROS.org.

Everyone is invited to this free event. Ms. Aikman will demonstrate beadworking techniques and will provide "Hintsand Help." Everyone is encouraged to bring old or new beadwork with questions. Get advice from an expert!
