In celebration of the release of the Warner Brothers' motion picture "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" (July 11), the Kaimuki Public Library will host a "Harry Potter" event on Thursday, July 12, from 3 p.m. ö 5 p.m. Admission is free. This event will be the Finale of their 2007 Childrenâs Summer Reading Program. Participants are encouraged to come in costume. Two Harry Potteröthemed programs will run simultaneously in the Childrenâs section of the library: Wizard's Chess Game ö Participants may sign up at the Childrenâs Reference Desk to play with giant chess pieces or to help move the chess pieces. "Diagon Alley" ö Younger children, ages 3 and up, can participate in Harry Potteröthemed activities. Call the library as soon as possible if a sign language interpreter or other special accommodation is needed. Kaimuki Public Library is located at 1041 Koko Head Avenue.
