The American Liver Foundation, Hawai'i Chapter's 2008 fundraising gala will feature island music legend Keali'i Reichel, a long-time supporter of the Hawai'i Chapter.

"We're thrilled that Keali'i Reichel has graciously agreed to perform at our upcoming fundraising gala," said Wesley Yamamoto, Hawai'i Chapter board president. "Keali'i left a lasting impression when he entertained a special group of American Liver Foundation supporters at our chapter's inaugural 2005 event held at a private residence in Nu'uanu, and we're grateful for his continued support."

Keali'i Reichel understands the importance of of the American Liver Foundation's message: Your liver is your life; you can't live without it. Seeing someone close to him battle liver disease and undergo the arduous journey of a liver transplant has had a profound effect on him. Keali'i is honored to share his music once again and give a special tribute to Hawaii's premier liver transplant surgeon, Linda L. Wong, MD.
