VICTORIA NALANI KNEUBUHL GIVES FREE TALK
AT CHAMINADE UNIVERSITY


As part of Chaminade University's Second Annual Popular Culture Association Conference, Hawai`i playwright Victoria Nalani Kneubuhl will present a talk entitled "Don't Call Us Cannibal: Two Generations of Pacific Family Writing" on Saturday, May 24, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in the Ching Conference Center, Eiben Hall at Chaminade University, 3140 Waialae Avenue, Honolulu, Hawai`i 96816. The talk is free and open to the public.

Victoria Nalani Kneubuhl, a renowned Honolulu playwright and author, holds a master's degree in drama and theatre from the University of Hawai`i. Her plays have been performed in Hawai`i and in the continental United States, as well as having toured Britain, Asia and the Pacific. An anthology of her work Hawai`i Nei: Island Plays is available from the University of Hawai`i Press. The University of Hawai`i Press also will publish Kneubuhl's mystery novel Murder Casts a Shadow in the fall of 2008. Kneubuhl received the prestigious Hawai`i Award for Literature in 1994 and the Eliot Cades Award for Literature in 2006. She currently writes and co-produces for the television series Biography Hawaii.
