DIAMOND HEAD THEATRE AUDITIONS FOR ROLE OF "TOTO"
HONOLULU, HI (June 3, 2008) – Diamond Head Theatre (DHT) is holding auditions for the role of Toto for its upcoming production of THE WIZARD OF OZ. Auditions will be on Saturday, June 14, 2008 from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. The auditions will be held on the theatre's garden lanai at 520 Makapuu Avenue.
The dog auditioning should be a Toy Terrier, Spaniel or "Toto-looking" poi dog and must be good with children and large groups of people. The role requires the dog to have a calm disposition as he/she will be exposed to a live orchestra and applause on show nights. He/she must be well-trained and respond to hand signals.
The dog should be prepared to respond to a command given by the director and/or another individual.
This role requires the dog and its owner and/or guardian to be at all rehearsals and performances.
Directed by Rob Duval, choreographed by John Rampage, with musical direction by Peter Rucci, THE WIZARD OF OZ will run from July 11 - July 27, 2008. The show is sponsored by: Hilton Hawaiian Village, KRAFT Foods, Servco Pacific, Inc., Bank of Hawaii, ABC Corporation, Aloha Petroleum, Ltd. and Shiny Floors.
