This is your opportunity to forge a creative partnership with a dynamic part of yourself! Join Skye White, a blues singer and poet from Louisville, Kentucky as she teaches you how to appreciate, write and deliver POETRY! Skye has performed in Memphis, L.A., Nashville and here in Hawaii at a host of venues. Skye wants to share her passion for poetry and "soul" helping YOU learn how to express yourself teaching a new series titled "Rhythm and Rhyme Poetry". Skye offers a free introductory class on November 3, 2009 at 3:00-4:00 p.m. Other classes will include the following topics: "Rhythm and Rhyme", "Remembering the Good Times", "Jazz Poetry" (done to music), "Greeting Card Poetry", and Poetry for the Holidays". Classes will be held at Waikiki Community Center (WCC)every Tuesday in November and Tuesday, December 1st in the Chapel from 3:00 ö 4:00 PM. Please bring your notepad, a pen/pencil and your SMILE! Complimentary parking is available while attending Rhythm and Rhyme Poetry. WCC is located at 310 Paoakalani Avenue, between Kuhio Ave. and Ala Wai Blvd. For more information call Barbara at 923-1802 Ext. 105.
