HONOLULU, HI, June 7, 2012 – Kahala Mall has a full and fun day planned to celebrate Hawaii keiki this year. On Saturday, June 16th from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., parents and children will enjoy non-stop entertainment throughout the day featuring an all-keiki rock band, EMKE, a variety of arts and crafts activities, and a Disney Pixar “Brave” movie keiki station.

The highlight of the event will be the Disney Pixar “Brave” movie keiki station where kids can get creative with “Brave” themed coloring sheets as well as receive “Brave” movie posters (while supplies last). Eight dollar ($8) tickets will also be sold that day for a special “private screening” movie premiere of “Brave” on Saturday, June 23rd at 11:30 a.m at Consolidated’s Kahala Theatres.

Those attending the June 23rd event will enjoy a fun pre-show at 10:30 a.m. at the theatre rotunda complete with bow and arrow balloons and “Brave” face painting by Adventure Balloons, a popcorn bar, a goody bag containing “Brave” items and Kahala Mall store specials/coupons and a souvenir photo opportunity for families. Parents will receive a complimentary cup of Starbucks coffee (while supplies last) at the soiree. All movie ticket proceeds will benefit the Niu Valley Playground initiative, a grassroots mission to build the first ever community playground in Niu Valley, neighboring the Kahala Mall community.
