Greywolf is a Native American with over 10 years of experience in weapons smithing and is Hawaii's only professional medieval armorer. In addition to being a student of medieval history, he is a martial arts instructor and founder of "The Golden Horde," a local non-profit historical organization. He will be appearing at two Oahu libraries.

This 45-minute educational program will feature authentic handcrafted weapons, armor, practical demonstrations, and audience participation. Suitable for ages 7 and older. For more information, call 637-8286

C.R. Greywolf will discuss the age of chivalry in Europe, from the start to the modern ideals of knighthood. This 45-minute program is suitable for ages 7 and older. For more information, call 397-5833.

Both programs are sponsored by the Friends of the Library of Hawai‘i, Atherton Family Foundation, Hawaii State Federal Credit Union, HEI Charitable Foundation, Meadow Gold Dairies, HMS Host, Hansen Distribution Group, Armstrong Produce, DFS Hawaii, Roberts Hawaii, Toshiba Business Solutions, and Aloha United Way. The mission of the Hawaii State Public Library System is to provide Hawaii's residents, in all walks of life, and at each stage of their lives, with access to education, information, programs and services, and to teach and nurture the love of reading and the habit of life-long learning.

Library Cards
You may apply for a library card at any Hawaii public library. The initial card is FREE for Hawaii residents. Cards are also free for military personnel and their dependents with a copy of orders. The resident card replacement fee is $5.00. Resident library cards must be renewed every five years. There is no charge for the renewal.

On person with library material or call 733-8422, then press "0" -- have your library material with you when calling. For online renewals, use www.librarieshawaii.org and "my account" and your library card no.
