 Rep. Barbara Marumoto tours the newly upgraded Tsunami Early Warning Center in Jakarta. The Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii provided technical assistance in the improvement.
Marumoto was part of a Hawaii delegation headed by Gov. Linda Lingle to set
up a State Partnership Program with Indonesia to deal with natural disaster
 recovery efforts, pandemic health concerns, mutual interests in developing democratic institutions and economic development.
