Market City Shopping Center Welcomes Café Kaila ![]() News Release For Immediate Release October 26, 2007 New Eatery Offers Breakfast and Lunch All Day Every Day at Unbeatable Prices HONOLULU-Café Kaila, Market City Shopping Center's newest eatery, recently opened its doors to the public, in October, offering over 50 breakfast and lunch menu items all under $15. The 1,080-square-foot European décor cafe is located next to Aloha Professional Imaging, Inc. on the east side of Market City Shopping Center. "We are excited to welcome Café Kaila to the Market City Shopping Center ohana," said Sandra Au Fong, senior vice president of Market City Shopping Center. "With Café Kaila on board, there's a wide range of restaurants at Market City that everybody can choose from." Café Kaila is a dream come true for owner Chrissie Castillo, a former elementary school teacher who has always wanted to open a restaurant because of her passion for cooking. The café features her middle name, Kaila. The café's menu boasts homemade delectable items such as pancakes, Belgian waffles, and French toast; a variety of different egg scrambles and frittata; salads; specialty panini such as Chicken Parmesan, Roasted Pesto Chicken, and Turkey Club; various ravioli and penne pastas; hot and fresh baked goods such as muffins and banana bread; and mouth-watering desserts such as Chocolate Indulgence Cake, Chocolate Fondue Pot, S'mores, and La Gelateria Gelato and Sorbet with four different flavors each! Guests can also expect to find different specials every weekend such as grilled fish of the day, steak, and roasted chicken. Holiday gift baskets and sets that include Castillo's delicious homemade baked goods, made to order, are also being offered. Café Kaila is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on weekends from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Plans for dinner and full bar service are currently in the works.
