The first Fat Greek restaurant is serving lunch and dinner at the corner of Waialae and St. Louis in Kaimuki. Plans call for an additional nine units to open on Oahu over the next five years. The one hundred seat restaurant which includes garden dining is already doing a great dine in and take out business. The creative menu along with great daily specials such as authentic Moussaka and Rack of Lamb has been received favorably by guests since the restaurants opening on December15th.
"Our Desire is to introduce the fresh healthy aspect of Mediterranean cuisine to Hawaii" said Oliver. "There are great similarities that already exist between Greek and Local style foods. We want to emphasize some of the spices and flavors that make this food both interesting and delicious." While the restaurant is waiting for a liquor license, guests are encouraged to bring a bottle of wine with them to enjoy with their meal.
