Diamond Head Theatre Awarded Grant For "Barefoot In The Park" FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Kymber-Lee Char (808) 733-0277 x304 HONOLULU, Hawaii (April 2, 2008) -- Diamond Head Theatre (DHT) received a $10,000 grant from the Ellen M. Koenig Memorial Fund of the Hawai'i Community Foundation to support its 2008 production of Barefoot in the Park. Deena Dray, DHT's executive director, said the funds were used to assist in producing Neil Simon's romantic comedy Barefoot in the Park. "It is important that DHT mount one non-musical per season to fulfill its mission as a well-rounded community theatre," said Dray. "We are very grateful to the Ellen M. Koenig Memorial Fund for supporting this facet of our mission." Established in 1916, the Hawai'i Community Foundation is a statewide, charitable services and grantmaking institution endowed with contributions from many donors. Hawai'i Community Foundation is a steward of more than 450 donor funds, including more than 120 scholarship funds, and distributes charitable funds to Hawai'i's nonprofit organizations through a variety of programs.
