Crusader Football Standout to Play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl

Honolulu, Hawaii - Saint Louis School senior defensive end, Juda Parker will play in the annual U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Saturday, January 8, 2011 (8:00 am Hawaii time on NBC) at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. Last December, Parker was invited by members of the U. S. Army All-American Bowl Selection Tour team to participate in the game that features the best high school football players in the nation, and has helped launch the careers of Adrian Peterson, Mark Sanchez, Tim Tebow, Michael Orr (from the movie "The Blind Side"), and many other college and NFL stars since its inception in 2001.

Parker led the 2010 HHSAA Division I State Football Championship Crusader team with 64 tackles, 16 sacks and two forced fumbles. Parker continues to keep his options open as to where he'll be playing college football. Oregon State, Hawaii, Colorado, Baylor and Washington are still possibilities for the senior Crusader.

Parker maintains a 3.5 cumulative grade point average and is a member of the School's Choral group. According to Principal Pat Hamamoto, "Saint Louis is clearly a School of opportunity and it's exciting to see this fine young man of character being recognized for his achievements. And, more importantly, it is the example he sets in the classroom and on campus. He is a student first."

Since joining the school in February 2010, Saint Louis School benefits from Ms. Hamamoto's 40+ years of experience in education, at a time when the school is embarking on a journey in technology that includes laptops for every student and wireless Internet connectivity in every classroom. Additionally, in March 2011, the School will open its newest facility - The Clarence T.C. Ching Learning and Technology Center, a three story, 27,000 square foot building. The building will house the School's technology center, Business Leadership Program, Fine Arts Department and band practice room.
