--Free Hawaiian History Program at Chaminade on April 30--

WHO: Sponsored by the Hawai’i Council for History Education, the Hawai’i Council for the Humanities, the Chaminade History Center with support from the Healing America Initiative of the W. K. Kellogg Foundation, the event is open to the public.

WHAT HULIAU: THE IMPACT OF FOREIGN CONTACT IN HAWAII features the following Hawaiian history presentations:

“Cross-cultural Contact and Change in Hawaii” by Frank Bailey Ph.D., assistant professor of history at Chaminade University;
“Queen Emma’s Letters” by Vitoria Kneubuhl, preformed by Wil Kahele and Victoria Kneubuhl;
Discussions with Craig Howes, the director of the Biography Center, and Robert Buss, the executive director of the Hawaii Council for the Humanities.

WHEN: Saturday, April 30; registration at 8:30 – 9 a.m., event at 9 a.m.–12 p.m.
