The Muhammadan Bean:

The Secret History of Islam and Coffee

a presentation from Mokhtar Alkhansali

Our private ticketed event with these two is sold out but you still have the opportunity to meet Shangri La artist-in-residence Abdul-Rahman Malik and coffee legend Mokhtar Alkhanshal (founder of the Port of Mokha coffee company and subject of Dave Eggers' bestselling book The Monk of Mokha) on Saturday, June 23, 2018 between 2:30 and 4:30pm.

Arrive by 3pm to hear Mokhtar and Abdul-Rahman in conversation!

Pick up a copy of the The Monk of Mokha and have it signed by Mokhtar, come be a part of our growing community, and enjoy the delicious coffee from our neighbors The Curb: Kaimuki. They've partnered with us for a very special pop-up coffee bar in our warehouse and we're so excited!
