Brand New! Land Use and Permit Requirements- Residential Zoning Standards, Optionals & Nonconformities (Oahu) (3 Elective Credits)

~This new course focuses on Revised Ordinances of Honolulu (ROH) Chapter 21 Residential Uses and Development Standards; Optional Development Regulations; & Nonconformities for understanding and applying residential land use requirements. Included also is a case study on Ohana dwellings " A Good Intention Destined to Fail". The course does not replace previous Dower School of Real Estate land use courses, however, it may reference county ordinances and state statutes for continuity purposes. Upon completion you should be able to assist and advise clients in their residential real estate matters.

Time: 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Short Sale & Foreclosures (3 Elective Credits)

~Foreclosures significantly impact homeowners faced with losing their home. Along with the loss, their credit rating is damaged and may still be faced with a deficiency liability and bankruptcy. Further, homeowners may need to wait five to seven years before they are allowed to buy another home. A short sale if possible can provide a better alternative.The course discusses short sale and foreclosure considerations in order to provide an overview for licensed real estate brokers and salespeople who are contemplating entering the short sales market, and a review for experienced short sale brokers and salespersons.
