Queen Lydia Lili'uokalani Elementary School Make Donation For The Annual Hawaii Food Bank Food Drive.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The 151 students of Queen Lili'uokalani Elementary School collected over 450 pounds of food (more than 700 food items) these past two weeks for the Annual Hawaii Food Bank Food Drive. A classroom competition was held - the class that donated the most food wins an ice cream party on Friday. The third graders led by teacher, Ms. Crystal Doi, brought in a commendable 212 cans of food and were declared the winners at today's lunch period. All students were winners in the end - they learned about hunger and giving to the needy. All will receive an ice pop on Friday just for making an effort and for a collective job well done!
