PROGRAMS @ KAIMUKI PUBLIC LIBRARY

ANOTHER GREAT FRIENDS of KAIMUKI PUBLIC LIBRARY USED BOOK AND MEDIA SALE

The Friends of Kaimuki Public Library held another successful pop-up sale on October 18th. New friends joined and everyone had a great time browsing and buying books and multimedia items. This fun community event is held in conjunction with Kaimuki Third Fridays, in the covered parking area of the library.

These happy volunteers helped sell over $500.00 worth of used CDs, DVDs, cookbooks and children's books.

NOVEMBER HOLIDAYS

Happy Veteran's Day! The library will be closed, Sunday, November 10 and Monday, November 11. Happy Thanksgiving! the library will be closed Thursday, November 28. These special hours are also noted below*

SUNDAY STORYTIMES CONTINUE

Children accompanied by a parent or caregiver can listen to stories, participate in finger plays and rhymes, and make and take home a small craft to remember the day's stories, Sundays, November 3, 17 and 24 at 10:30 a.m.

LIKE TO PLAY CHESS OR CHECKERS?

Play chess or checkers in the library! Just leave your library card at the reference desk in exchange for a chess or checkers set to use in the library.

About Kaimuki Public Library The mission of the Hawaii State Public Library System is to provide Hawaii's residents, in all walks of life, and at each stage of their lives, with access to education, information, programs and services, and to teach and nurture the love of reading and the habit of life-long learning. HOURS Sun - 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Mon - 10:00 am to 8:00 pm Tues - 10:00 am to 8:00 pm Wed. - 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Thurs.- 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Fri- 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm (beginning 12/7/2012) Sat & State Holidays - Closed Library Cards You may apply for a library card at any Hawaii public library. The initial card is FREE for Hawaii residents. Cards are also free for military personnel and their dependents with a copy of orders. The resident card replacement fee is $5.00. Resident library cards must be renewed every five years. There is no charge for the renewal.
