FEATURED SPEAKERS

Brian Bennett serves as Senior Associate of Booz Allen Hamilton, an organization that has been at the forefront of strategy and technology consulting for nearly a century. Today, the firm is a major provider of professional services primarily to U.S. government agencies in Hawaii and around the globe in the defense, intelligence and civil sectors, as well as to corporations, institutions and not-for-profit organizations.

Dr. Song K. Choi, the assistant dean for the College of Engineering at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, works with various primary, middle, and high schools in the State in promoting STEM education through robotics. His specialization is in robotics with an emphasis in unmanned systems, automatic control systems, autonomous vehicle design, novel sensor systems, alternative/renewable power sources, and graphic monitoring systems for unmanned vehicles with emphasis on underwater technologies.

Johanna “Corrie” Heck, serves as chief coordinator of the Robotics Organizing Committee-Hawaii (ROC) and supports several special projects, including the education initiative for six scholastic robotics programs.

Glenn Lee has worked at Waialua High for 18 years. He began as a math and science teacher and now facilitates the school’s robotics program and learning center, and also serves as the grant coordinator.

Oso Tui is the Team Administrator for Team 368 “Kika Mana”, Mckinley High School’s FIRST robotics team. He is also currently the Registrar for the school and was formerly a math teacher, where he enjoyed stimulating the minds of Calculus students.
