About Free Core Fitness Class at Hawaii Optimum Performance (HOP)
This program focuses on strength and flexibility, by integrating different training disciplines in order to optimize core development and fitness.
Classes are one hour and utilize weight training, yoga, pilates and functional core stabilization principles.

Hawaii Optimum Performance, LLC, also known as HOP, was created in 2002 by two Certified Athletic Trainers to address the fitness and rehabilitation needs of Hawaii's athletes. Having worked with high school, collegiate and recreational athletes since 1986, we have noticed an increase in the incidence of knee and ankle injuries that can be prevented with proper neuromuscular training. Through research based strength and agility techniques, HOP has developed its athletic performance curriculum into a comprehensive health and fitness injury prevention program for the entire family.
What is HOP Training?
HOP Training is a comprehensive injury prevention system that integrates sports medicine, traditional strength training and functional movements to enhance the physical performance and fitness of our clients.
Our Certified Athletic Trainers (ATC) are allied health care professionals. They posses at minimum a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university and are nationally certified by the National Athletic Trainers' Association www.nata.org. Our Strength and Conditioning Specialists (CSCS) are certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association www.nsca.com and our Performance Enhancement Specialists (PES) are certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine www.nasm.org.
Hawaii Optimum Performance offers programs by appointment for all ages and activity levels in private or group sessions. Except for out Sports Agility Clinics, all sessions are on hour long and are conducted at our Kaimuki Training Center. Clients are evaluated during an initial consolation for flexibility, balance and functional movement after which a program is developed to meet their specific goals. All programs consist of biomechanical form, core stabilization and functional movement training.
Open to all ages and athletic backgrounds this program integrates traditional and functional training to improve strength, power and agility. We focus on sport specific movements to increase biomechanical efficiency and athleticism.
Improve your health, fitness and endurance with our training program that focuses on strength, balance, flexibility and coordination. Geared for all ages, we will address the specific needs of your busy lifestyle in private or group sessions.
Core Fitness for Women
This program for women focuses on strength and flexibility, by integrating different training disciplines in order to optimize core development and fitness. Classes are one hour and utilize weight training, yoga, pilates and functional core stabilization principles.
This program focuses on progressively improving strength, power and balance through functional training. Our primary goal is to help our clients get back to their normal activities safely.
Provided by our Certified Athletic Trainers, HOP may be contracted to provide injury assessment, rehabilitation and preventative taping/bracing for athletic clubs and teams. This service can be utilized at our Kaimuki Training Center or at any of our client's venues.
This service, provided by our licensed massage therapists, focuses on reducing pain and muscle tightness through myofacial release and trigger point therapy.
Sports Agility Clinics
This program is designed to prepare young athletes with the essential skills needed to achieve their athletic potential. The objective is to reduce the risk of injury while enhancing athletic performance. Focusing on athletic movement efficiency, we will develop proper running mechanics, jump technique, change of direction and first step quickness. Our Sports Agility Clinics are open to boys and girls 7 to 18 years old with registration beginning 30 minutes prior to each clinic at an offsite facility.

Hawaii Optimum Performance's Training Center is located in the Kaimuki Shopping Center. Our Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
