Grammy award winning soprano Audrey Luna regularly performs on the world’s greatest stages including the Metropolitan Opera, Vienna State Opera, Royal Opera House – Covent Garden, Houston Grand Opera, and Teatro La Fenice.

Comfortable in both conventional and contemporary opera roles, Ms. Luna’s repertoire includes Zerbinetta in 
Ariadne auf Naxos, the title role in Lucia di Lammermoor, Madame Mao in Nixon in China, Gilda in Rigoletto, Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte, the title role in Lakmé, Gepopo in Le Grande Macabre, Norina in Don Pasquale, and Marie in La Fille du Regiment.

Hawaiian pianist, Maika’i Nash, returned to Hawaiʻi after 20 years abroad, to accept positions running the both the music and young artist program at Hawaiʻi Opera Theatre. He studied piano performance and collaborative piano with a focus on art song at McGill University in Montreal, then continued studying art song at the Schubert Institute in Vienna, privately in Paris. Maika’i did further studies as an opera coach at the Centre for Opera in Italy, continuing the following year as  a faculty member.  Maika’i has been on staff and faculty at Western University, McGill University, the University of Toronto, the Glenn Gould School, Javeriana University, in Bogota, Colombia and recently joined the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa.
