Hanafuda Game Time!

Come and play Hanafuda with your fellow community members!  We have several hanafuda packs available during the program for those who wish to play, on a first come, first serve basis.  Meet new friends, challenge yourself, and have fun! For those who learned how to play Hanafuda from Helen Nakano and her Sensei, now you can practice those skills in a game!
This will be a a self-directed play time, and no instructions will be given.  Although we will have sheets of instructions for those who wish to learn more about this wonderful game.  All experience levels are welcome to play!  Please note that young children must be accompanied by an adult.  For more information please contact us at: (808)733-8422 or ask at the Kaimukī Public Library Adult Reference Desk.

Sing Like Nobody’s Watching-Karaoke Night!

Grab your friends, throw on your best retro gear and come ready to belt out your favorite tunes during this karaoke night! Attendees can join Kaimukī Public Library for a night of fun and food, as we reminisce with music and singing. Library will provide mics and sound system.
Please feel free to bring a favorite appetizer to share with other attendees. You don’t want to miss out on this epic night of fun!

Sunday Afternoon at the Movies – Deadpool & Wolverine

Deadpool is now happily forgotten as Wade Wilson tries to live an ordinary but more peaceful life. However, things are upended when the Time Variance Authority forces him on a mission to save his home universe from destruction. Donning the Deadpool identity again, he finds Wolverine to hopefully help him. But Deadpool’s first real mission is to convince an embittered Wolverine that the universe is worth saving.
This movie is rated R (Restricted) by the Motion Picture Association. Children under 17 require an accompanying parent or adult guardian. Contains adult material such as strong bloody violence and language throughout, gore and sexual references.  Parents are urged to learn more about the film before taking their young children with them.

Library Cards
You may apply for a library card at any Hawaii public library. The initial card is FREE for Hawaii residents. Cards are also free for military personnel and their dependents with a copy of orders. The resident card replacement fee is $5.00. Resident library cards must be renewed every five years. There is no charge for the renewal.

Book Drops -- for after business hours -- one by the front door or drive-up book drop in the upper parking lot
