Based on the beloved animated series created by Stephen Hillenburg, this deep sea pearl of a show features songs by Aerosmith, Sara Bareilles, Cyndi Lauper, John Legend, David Bowie, and more. When the citizens of Bikini Bottom discover that a volcano will soon erupt and destroy their humble home, SpongeBob and his friends must come together to save the fate of their undersea world. With lives hanging in the balance and all hope lost, a most unexpected hero rises up. The power of optimism really can save the world! Patrons who use a wheelchair are permitted to purchase one additional ticket for their companion. Wheelchair and companion seating are sold at the box office by calling 808-733-0274. Please be sure to inform the box office of your seating needs when purchasing a ticket. The theatre has a lift from the back parking lot to the main entrance.
About Diamond Head Theatre
Since 1915, Diamond Head Theatre has served as Hawaii's "Broadway of the Pacific." A new theatre is in construction and anticipated to open in 2023 with a capital campaign underway. DHT showcases Hawaii's finest local talent, guest artists, and offers performance arts education. DHT is a local, independent nonprofit organization that relies on community support to present its shows and community programs.
