Who We Are
A Loving Family Deeply Rooted in Community.

We are a church that prayerfully listens to the Bible, the traditions of the Church, the reason of man, and the wisdom of the Holy Spirit to guide us in living our lives and in faithful response to God.

We are Chinese, Korean, Hawaiian, Japanese, Swedish, English, French, Filipino and more.  We are men and women, boys and girls.  We are young and old and middle aged.  We are conservative and liberal.  We are blue, white and pink-collar workers.  Together, we strive to love God, and our neighbors as ourselves.

We have a special feeling and love for our Church built of blue rock in 1915, and our stained-glass windows installed in 1965. But we know the Church is more than a building and does not exist for itself, and so we reach out to our community and the world to proclaim by word and example the Good News of God in Christ.

Our Mission Statement
To know and celebrate Christ in the Episcopal tradition by gathering in worship, education, and fellowship, by sharing the Good News in word and action, and by seeking and serving Christ in all

What We Believe
We are a people of faith who share in a loving, liberating and life-giving God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe following the teachings of Jesus Christ, whose life, death and resurrection saved the world.

Our church belongs to the Dioceses of Hawaii which also belongs to the wider Episcopal Church in the United States. Our, Bishop, priest and congregation members cooperate as leaders at all levels of our church. We understand that leadership is a gift from God and is expressed by all people regardless of who you are.

We believe God loves you- No exceptions

The Rev Christopher M Bridges, Priest
Father Chris joined the Epiphany ‘Ohana on January 1, 2020. The foundation of his call to ministry is the belief that Jesus Christ is from God. He believes that Jesus shows us a dimension of God which is a deep love for humanity. Father Chris understands that God is love and that God demonstrated this love through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. His mission as a priest is to build relationships for Jesus Christ in the world.

Father Chris holds a Master of Divinity Degree from The University of the South, School of Theology located in Sewanee Tennessee which is one of the Episcopal Church’s Seminaries. Father Chris has served as assistant priest at Holy Nativity Church in Aina Haina. Other opportunities to grow in faith

Adult Christian Formation
Adult Christian Formation is an opportunity to discuss books of the bible, topics of Christian faith and traditions. It is a time to explore your faith and seek understanding of Gods movement in your life. We meet between services on Sunday.

Children Sunday School
At Epiphany Children and youth of all ages are welcome! Our Sunday School begins at 9:00 am in our learning space. Then we join the 9:30 am worship service in which children and youth join the congregation at the Peace and continue in worship with Holy Communion. Sunday School is available on all Sundays throughout the school year except first Sundays of the month when children actively participate in the service as ushers, lay readers and acolytes.

Godly Play
We believe our children have a sense of the presence of God that is sometimes not noticed by adults. Thus, we believe Children are theologians for us. Epiphany supports the Godly Play approach for children to discover more fully the presence of God in their lives. Godly play helps them to explore their faith through story, to gain religious language and to enhance their spiritual experience through wonder and play. Based on the Montessori principles and developed using spiral curriculum, the Godly Play method serves children through early, middle and late childhood and beyond.” Please see this website for more information: https://www.godlyplayfoundation.org/
